Tra le band indie-pop più conturbanti e trasversali di questi ultimi anni, i Parenthetical Girls – guidati dalla voce dell’androgino Zac Pennington – sono certamente una continua sorpresa. Scoperti da Jamie Stewart (Xiu Xiu), leggeri e obliqui, intimi e orchestrali, ombrosi e inquieti, non ci mettono molto per conquistare il cuore degli ascoltatori. Dischi come "Safe as Houses" o "Entanglements" sono creature di sensuale limpidezza e dal vivo le loro canzoni giocano a rincorrersi come in una stanza delle meraviglie. A Venezia presentano alcune canzoni del nuovo progetto "Privilege", 5 ep in edizione limitata che confluiranno nel prossimo album. L’irresistibile leggerezza del pop!

 

Apre la serata il progetto Former Ghosts di Freddie Ruppert, tra new wave e synth-pop, reduce dal grande successo di critica del disco "Fleurs".
